Keeping your insulin cool in our South African heat is always a challenge especially when you go away on a long road trip or if you just want to spend the day at the beach. Our 450ml Thermos with digital temperature display will always keep you informed of what temperature your insulin is at, no matter where you go. Lightweight with large capacity, durable, reusable, practical for daily use, hypo allergenic. Keep your insulin cool and know exactly what the thermos internal temperature is, at all times by gently tapping the screen.
In summer, cool your thermos cylinder by either placing ice cold water to pre-cool in it (always discard water before placing insulin in the thermos) or by leaving it in the fridge or you could freeze the ice cubes provided and put them into the thermos (always remove the ice cubes from the freezer 15 minutes before putting them into the Thermos with your insulin). Put your insulin into the thermos, turn the lid to close and off you go for great enjoyment without worrying about your insulin. You may maintain the temperature by adding or removing any ice cubes during your long road trip.
Used/Opened insulin should never exceed 25°C
Unopened/new insulin should be stored in the fridge between 2°C – 8°C)
In winter, you may warm your thermos and keep your hot chocolate, soup or coffee warm during the cold months too.
Our thermos uses a 2032 battery, the same battery that most Glucometers and Ketone machines use so you will always have spares with you.
