Its durable composition resists wash-off, significantly reducing the need for frequent reapplication, which optimizes product usage and patient comfort. Cavilon™ Durable Barrier Cream is compatible with chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and does not compromise the adhesion of medical tapes and dressings, ensuring secure placement of medical devices.
Functioning as a triple-action barrier, it meticulously seals the epidermis after proper cleansing, providing an essential shield against bacterial proliferation under medical devices.5 For optimal results, apply a minimal amount and allow it to become tacky before the application of Tensospray. DAB a tiny amount on the dry skin and continue dabbing until it becomes tacky (sticky). The Cavilon Cream is applied after the Flonase has dried and before spraying Tensospray on – this is part of the approved Allergy & Irritation prevention skin preparation method that must be followed before applying any sensor/CGM or infusion set.
